In this new, extremely visual and tactile series, the artist diverts the iconography of medical prescriptions. He thus offers a caustic and playful vision of addiction, people, artistic starification, thus reinforcing its illusory and ephemeral character. Far from being only caustic, the "Black RX" series also takes up a certain number of concerns dear to the artist such as death, modern pharmacology, hypochondria, fame (deserved or not), art, cinema, combining derision and disintegration (crumpled paper).
This is the new art series titled: "Black RX" by artist Laurent La Gamba, a work that features a whole host of fictitious and imaginary medical prescriptions (RX) of Movie Stars and famous artists.
